Id respect it more if you’d just reject my application.

I applied to this job back in January of this year…. I totally forgot about it because i had heard anything back. I saw a position i was interested in AGAIN only to find out it was the same company and i already applied….It is not Aug 18….. and my app is still “in progress” 😂

This is a workday platform and they are going through that sketchy lawsuit btw…. So it makes sense

I’ll admit. Im very ignorant and had no idea how tough it is for foreigners to acquire work Visas.

Chatting over a few cold ones with my close friend from Spain, and he was explaining how hard it was to find trusted employers who sponsor visas in the US. I understand that the clock is ticking for most foreigners so they cant afford to waste time on crappy job listings who mention offering sponsorships, but truly aren’t. I’d love you hear/read other’s experiences with job market friction with finding REAL sponsorship.

Maybe i can provide him with some good insight and resources.

THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

Idk if its job seeker’s fatigue, but mentally I’m somewhere between “I NEED A JOB” and “MY TIME IS MORE VALUABLE” because the application requirements are absolutely ridiculous. From creating a NEW account for every application, filling out employment history AFTER i just uploading my resume, and required cover letters?? (What year is this 2004??) And its truly a constant battle i deal with. I dont even care anymore.

Am i the only one?

What job application friction hurdles are you all jumping over just to be lowballed on the salary? I really want to know! 😂** **

(Sorry if this comes off as a rant. 😮‍💨. Maybe it is. I havent had coffee in days 😆😆)

I know i know! Im preaching to the choir here, so don’t jump me please. I recently graduated in December of 2025 (from a pretty good school too, might I add), and I am STILL without a job in my field of study. I came to reddit to find insight from others in similar situations. I know it sounds weird but it feels good to not be the only one going through job market hell right now.

Its like my university knew we’d be experiencing adversity in the job market so they provided us with a job seeker tool that identifies scams. Which is cool… because it keeps us from applying to scam posts and ghost posts… it certainly works, but that still doesnt mean i’ll get a callback or even an interview smh. Which i hadnt.

Im embarrassed to say what my major is because you would think I would have found a job already.

Idk. Just venting i guess…. Or maybe this is a cry for help 😂 What have you all done to stay afloat? I haven’t found ANY success on Indeed. Too oversaturated with scams and lead catching post.
