New Anime

Has there been any update on the status of the anime conclusion of Clear Card? It's been over three years since the announcement that there would be a continuation to Clear Card. And it's been two and a half years since the manga concluded. Has there been any word?

Defense Against the Dark Arts Curse

The Defense Against the Dark Arts position at Hogwarts was cursed by Voldemort after he was denied the job, everyone who took the job had their life ruined until Voldemort's death. Of all the Defense Against the Dark Arts teachers we saw, whose ultimate fate do you think was the worst? In case you need to be reminded of what happened to them:

Quirinus Quirrell: Died by a combination of severe burns and Voldemort draining the last of his life force to save himself.

Gilderoy Lockhart: Permanently lost his memory and became a permanent patient of St. Mungo's.

Remus Lupin: Exposed as a werewolf, fired, shunned and later killed during the Battle of Hogwarts.

Barry Crouch Jr./Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody: Given the Dementor's kiss.

Delores Umbridge: Resigned and returned to work at the Ministry of Magic. Later sentenced to life in Azkaban for complicity in Voldemort's regime.

Severus Snape: Killed by Voldemort during the Battle of Hogwarts.

So, who had the worst fate.

Something Weird Happened Today.

So this morning I was talking to my mom about random things, and suddenly she mentioned the movie The Elephant Man, and how unnerving it was. Then she mentioned off-handedly, that Cher had starred in a movie like it, but couldn't remember what it was called. She was referring to the movie The Mask, which I knew about but haven't seen.

Tonight on my nightly reruns of the X-Files, the episode I saw was The Post-Modern Prometheus, in which The Mask was actually a plot point.

That's a pretty damn weird coincidence, don't you think?

Is it just me?

Does anyone else think Richard (Dean Haglund) kinda looks like Neil Patrick Harris? Or is it just me?

Sequel Idea

I have an idea for how a sequel should have gone. And by that I mean it should have just been the same movie without the grandson's interruptions and all the parts that were skipped over because of them are included.

This is a joke to be clear. I wouldn't change a thing about the movie.

The Worst Member of Each House and why

The four Hogwarts Houses each value different things, and occasionally, someone comes along and you genuinely don't understand why they were there. So here's my pick for the worst member of each house. Now to be clear, I'm basing this on the books.

Gryffindor, values bravery, daring and nerve. The student who exemplifies those the least is Peter Pettigrew. Cowardly, self serving, his actions directly lead to the deaths of his supposed friends.

Slytherin, values ambition and cunning. Gregory Goyle seems really disinterested in being anything other than a follower, which is really the opposite of ambition.

Ravenclaw, values knowledge above all. So it begs the question how Gilderoy Lockhart, who was so comically inept at basically everything got sorted into this house?

Hufflepuff values honesty, fairness and loyalty as their main traits. So I personally feel confident saying Zacharias Smith is the worst Hufflepuff, as he abandoned the D.A during the battle of Hogwarts to save his own skin even pushing first years out of the way.

So these are just some random thoughts I had. Do you agree, disagree? Let me know.

My history with a show I never watched.

So, I'm a little over halfway through the original series for the first time, and I've been reflecting on the weird history I've had with the X-Files even before I started watching it.

So, I was born about a month before the show premiered, so I can't remember a point in time where the show didn't exist. Growing up I would always see the promos for the show but was too young to watch it. But my parents were big fans. In fact, there came a point where hearing the theme song was basically my cue to go to bed.

As I got older, I got into different monster of the week shows, but just kept putting off watching X-Files. But in the last few years I've been burned out by the serious drop in quality of most modern TV shows and started to put a serious dent in classic shows I wanted to watch, and the most recent thing I've gotten into is, you guessed it, The X-Files, and I've been watching it with my dad. It's actually been a weird thing for us to bond over.

So here I am, finally going through something that was part of the background of my life for as long as i can remember. There are some things about the show that annoy me, but overall I'm enjoying the show immensely.

The Problem with Prisoner of Azkaban (film)

OPINION: While cited by many as the best movie overall, while being a pretty mediocre adaptation of the source material, The Prisoner of Azkaban has a major flaw that bugs me.

This movie was the beginning of the films being much more visually drab. And don't get me wrong, I'm okay with darker colours being used to visualise a darker tone, but that's not what the movie did. It was just drab and grey. I could get past it more if it was just used for when the Dementors were on screen, but that's not what was done. The whole movie just feels more lifeless than the previous two, and it just continues in all subsequent films too.
