Planning First Solo Trip
Planning my first proper solo/backpacker trip from Chennai around June end or July.
Looking for suggestions for places under 4k–5k total budget (including travel/stay/food) for around 3D/2N.
What I’m mainly looking for:
overnight travel from Chennai
backpacker/social vibe
easy to meet solo travelers
trekking/adventure/nature
less crowded & less family-tourist type places
hostel/common-area culture
not too commercial
I’m okay with dorms, trains, buses etc. Mostly want a place where I won’t feel isolated traveling alone and can naturally connect with people.
Currently considering places like Gokarna, Kodachadri, Kudremukh, Varkala etc but open to underrated suggestions too.
Would also love hostel recommendations or routes where solo travelers usually hang out.
