How to Easily Complete the New Wet Work Event

I somewhat easily completed the Wet Work Event. While I admit a lot of luck was involved, as many of my random teammates helped a lot in completing the contracts. But, I think I got the hang of it by the 3rd Conquest game. I have no intention of playing Redsec, as I don't enjoy that mode at all. Here is a simple guide on completing this event on Conquest.

  • When you launch the game, navigate to the Wetwork tab and select Conquest: Wetwork.
  • Random enemies are secretly assigned contracts that you and your squad must kill to acquire to start the contracts.
  • You won't know who has the contracts unless someone uses a drone to spot them. Then, sometimes a SIM card-like symbol appears on top of their head instead of the diamond. But most of the time, you will find the contracts by accident when you kill an enemy.
  • When a contract is available, you will see it like a POI but in yellow/gold, which you can pick up with the interact button from the ground of the defeated enemy. I think only you and your squad can pick it up if they are the ones who killed the enemy with the contract. Others cannot steal it from you.
  • It is possible to have multiple contracts on the ground at the same time, but you can only do one contract at a time. The contract and timer start right after you pick up the contract, so be ready to start doing the contracts as soon as you pick them up.
  • You can rack up a lot of kills and contracts by using tanks. But, unfortunately, the one using the tank cannot see the yellow/gold POI on the screen while they are in the tank. Their squad still can and should go pick the contracts up.

I listed the easiest to hardest contracts below. Pick the easier ones if you have the option:

  1. Capture any objective: Just have any member of your squad capture an objective. This is super easy in Conquest.
  2. Prevent Squad Wipe: This contract requires your squad not to get wiped. Hide somewhere safe and avoid combat or run back to base, so the enemy doesn't kill you. As long as 1 person survives and never gets killed, when the timer runs out. You get an easy completion.
  3. Deal 1000 damage to enemies: The easiest way to complete this is to attack enemy vehicles with launchers, etc. If you do, it can take less than 30 seconds to complete. Otherwise, you have to kill 10 enemies within the time limit.
  4. Get 4 headshots kills: With a little bit of luck, and if you only aim for the head. You or your team can easily complete this contract.
  5. Kill 10 enemies: Killing 10 enemies can be harder than you think within the time limit. Sometimes it really is hard to find enemies to kill in places like the Golmund railway because of how gigantic the map is.
  6. Destroy an enemy vehicle: You have to get lucky with this, but you or one of your squadmates must destroy an enemy vehicle. It doesn't have to be a tank, motorcycles, or the weaker vehicles count too. But the enemy does need to die in them to count.

Feel free to ask me any questions. And Good Luck!

Finally Completed the Unstoppable Level 50 Carbine Collection

I finally completed the Carbine Unstoppable Force collection. I have done the same for Assault Rifles and Light Machine Guns in the past. You can find those posts below:
AR: Post
LMG: Post

Carbines are a weapon class that sits between ARs and SMGs. They tend to have better mobility and ADS speed than ARs, but worse mobility and ADS speed than SMGs. Carbines tend to have higher Recoil Amount(RA) than most ARs and SMGs, meaning their initial accuracy tends to be worse than those weapon classes. But they tend to have less Recoil Variation (RV), meaning they are more accurate at sustaining their accuracy over longer periods of firing when compared to ARs and SMGs. Many of the Carbines have nearly identical Shots-To-Kill(STK) and Time-To-Kill(TTK) as other ARs and SMGs in the game. The ideal range to use Carbines is somewhere between 0 and 35 Meters(M). In my opinion, as of Season 3, Carbines suffer the most from power creep. They have a hard time keeping up with the current meta guns like the M16A4, DRS-IAR, etc except for the SG 553R and the M4A1.

Here are my Carbine tiers:

S-tier: Best in class

A-tier: Near best

B-tier: Mid

C-tier: Put you at a disadvantage

These rankings are subjective, and your experience may differ (I put asterisks where this is especially true). All weapons were leveled to 50 against human players in Breakthrough. These tiers don’t apply to Redsec and may vary in other modes.

S-Tier

SG 553R: The best carbine in the game. This gun has roughly the same accuracy as the M4. While not the best, it is manageable. At less than 10M, this gun has roughly the same TTK as the TR7 at roughly 167MS, making it one of the best guns under 10M, similar to SCW-10, KV9, and CZ-3A1. At 11M to 35M, this gun has the same TTK as the B36A4, which has a decent TTK, allowing it to keep up with most assault rifles. After 35M, this gun starts losing performance because of the Carbine class’ damage falloff, but still a good gun to use at nearly all ranges. This gun is indeed still one of the best guns in the entire game.

A-Tier

M4A1: Much like the SG553R. This gun is still a solid choice since the release of the game. While not the best in class. This gun can still hold its own against most assault rifles. This gun shines best at less than 10M, where this gun has a 200MS TTK. Anything above it has roughly the same TTK and performance as the KORD. While the accuracy is not the best, similar to the SG553R, it is manageable with attachments, and once you get used to it. The "Bad" accuracy becomes unnoticeable. This gun has a very fast rate of fire, which makes it very forgiving when trying to hit moving targets. This gun also has one of the fastest reloads in the entire game. This gun is still amazing since launch, and still holds its own as a really solid gun to use at nearly all ranges.

GRT-BC: One way to think of this gun is that it is a slightly more accurate, yet slightly worse TTK than the M4A1. This gun shares the STK and TTK with the SGX, but it has more recoil amount and less mobility than the SGX. But it does have less recoil variation than the SGX, meaning this gun is better at sustained fire in comparison. This gun has a TTK of 217M at less than 10M. Which is not a bad TTK, but it's not the best. While not a bad gun, I would still recommend the M4A1 or the SGX over this gun. So this gun gets an A* from me, but can also be treated as a B/B+ tier gun based on your experience.

B-Tier

M417 A2: I feel really bad giving this gun a B-tier; IMO, this gun shouldn't even be a carbine. IRL, this gun is the HK417, the beefed-up battle rifle version of the HK416(DRS IAR). This gun is also popular as a DMR setting. But, for whatever reason, the powers that be at DICE decided to make it into a carbine. It also shares nearly identical stats with the NVO-228E. This gun has the same ROF, STK, and TTK as the NVO at all ranges, including its 185MS TTK at less than 10M. The NVO has less recoil amount, with more recoil variation, whereas this gun has more recoil amount and less recoil variation. But the biggest drawback of this gun is its 20-round mag, while the NVO has a default 30-round mag. To add insult to injury, you can increase the 20-round mag's maximum to 25 with 15 points, while with the NVO, you can just get a 30-round fast mag for 10 points. As this gun is basically an NVO, but worse, I am giving this gun a B. Just use the NVO over this gun. I would never sacrifice ammunition capacity for minor ADS speed and mobility increases.

M277: This is a special gun because it maintains its shots-to-kill to 4 shots up 75M, and maintains its 250MS TTK all the way up to 75M. Theoretically, this gun should be an S-tier gun, but it has one major problem, which realistically makes it a mid-B-tier gun, and that problem is its poor accuracy. This gun has a terrible recoil amount and recoil variation almost comparable to the TR7. First things first, a 250 TTK at less than 20M is nothing special, and it shares that TTK with the B36A4. But the B36 is a lot more accurate than the M277, and I would rather pick that over the M277 at less than 20M or beyond. Where this gun really shines is the 20M to 35M, assuming you can hit the first 4 automatic shots at your targets with this gun (I usually don't, but it is doable). It is unrealistic to hit those first 4 shots in automatic fire above that range, so this gun's STK and TTK special powers become basically pointless after 35M. Yes, you can tap fire/burst fire to mitigate some of its bad accuracy. But, to be honest, I don’t see any point in that. I would instead recommend the M250 LMG over this gun. The M250 LMG also has the special ability to maintain its TTK and STK like the M277 at long ranges, but instead of 75M, it maintains that ability up to 150M. It is also much more accurate than the M277, and comes with a 50-round default belt over the 20-round default mag that comes with the M277. The con of using the M250 over the M277 is the slow reload and a pinch slower TTK at 267MS compared to the M277's 250MS.

SOR-300SC: I am giving this gun a B because it shares that special 200MS TTK with the M4A1 at less than 10M. But beyond that, this gun is kind of terrible and comparable to the QBZ-192. This gun has the slowest rate of fire in the carbine class, which can make it difficult to hit targets even at close ranges when they are moving. While this gun has the second-best accuracy in the carbine category, it is only effective at up to 35M and can't really compete with guns like the KTS 100, SOR 556, or the RPKM/RPK-74M at longer ranges than 35M. This gun is very mid, and so this gun gets a B.

C-Tier

AK-205: This is the most accurate automatic gun in this game; this automatic gun also has the worst TTK and STK in the game. Use this gun if you find multiplayer too easy and want to give yourself a challenge. This gun is a peashooter that tickles your enemies into submission. Using this gun, you will mostly find yourself at a disadvantage in most situations. If you are firing at your enemies at a distance, your enemies will have more than enough time to react and get to cover before they are killed. The optimal range for this IMO is 34 to 50M because that is when most automatic guns start losing accuracy, and you can get lucky and kill them before they can land accurate shots on you. Anything less, and nearly all guns can kill you faster; anything more than that range, this gun's slow TTK will make it nearly impossible to kill anyone because they can just try to find cover before they are killed. That being said, I would easily recommend pretty much any accurate gun over this, like the KTS, either of the RPKs, or the SOR 556.

QBZ-192: The QBZ is basically a pinch more accurate and a pinch worse TTK than the GRT-BC. Similar to how the GRT-BC is the same to the M4A1. So the question is, why not pick those guns instead of the QBZ? The QBZ really is just a worse Chinese version of the M4, so you are really not giving yourself any advantage using this gun. On top of that, the QBZ shares the same TTK and STK as the PW5A3(MP5), which feels a lot more accurate than this gun. Plus, the QBZ seems to have the least amount of attachments, such as it's missing CQB, Lightened, and Long suppressors. So, I see absolutely no reason for using this gun other than because you like this gun.
