Sister who doesn’t take meds

As the title suggests I have a sister who was diagnosed with bipolar disorder a couple years ago. However when she was younger we noticed she had these symptoms but at the time she wasn’t clinically diagnosed. She would have days where she extremely excited, happy, energetic, and other times where she wasn’t talking to anyone, and we still experience this now. When she was diagnosed with the meds and once she took them, she was relatively calm and wouldn’t have the episodes. As of recently, she has decided to not take the meds (she isn’t telling us why) and every other day she is having a manic episode.

We as a family feel hopeless because we have tried therapy, we’ve tried speaking to her as a family to outline the triggers and what causes her to have these episodes, to no avail. We’ve also noticed that she changes therapists regularly and once we ask her why she doesn’t provide a valid reason. I’ve personally come to the conclusion that she changes therapists because they tell her to take her meds and she doesn’t want to hear that . Anytime my dad or mom mention taking the meds she blatantly ignores them. I have tried to approach it from a different angle by asking her as of recently why do you feel your having these frequent episodes, what are your triggers, and she states other stuff that really isn’t related to what’s going on. She is extremely hardheaded so it is difficult to convince her to take the meds so I’m not sure what to do. Any advice will help.
