BPD and Motherhood
I have a question for all of the BPD mothers…
As someone who was raised by an NPD and BPD father (and as result I now have BPD myself) I know how damaging this dynamic can be. Do you think that with the right guidance, women with this condition can be good parents?
One of my symptoms is the constant feeling of being bad, so I’m always going above and beyond for those around me to prove that I’m worthy etc.
I’ve done a lot of inner work so I feel confident in saying I’m pretty self aware, but I’ve also seen some really negative posts from those who grew up in an unhealthy BPD household like I did.
I’m conflicted, my partner is a wonderful person who would make an incredible parent… but I guess I’m just wondering if a woman with BPD can truly ever be a great and stable parent?
