please help my analysis paralysis
Hey hi and hello!!
a little backstory: ive been in a teeensy tiiiiny (very large) reading rutt for the last few months unfortunately a lull in reading did NOT result in a lull of buying SO ive decided to force myself back into reading after realizing ive spending more than i care to admit on what basically ended up becoming mildly expensive shelf decorations. With that being said I am now facing a "too many choices, cant choose" so I am putting that decision into the hands of strangers (you, yay)
a little bit about each of the books:
Fractal Noise: a ship crew discovers a mysterious hole on an uninhibited planet and now they go on an adventure to learn who built the hole and why (sci-fi)
Parasite: a guard on a moon outpost discovers an alien lifeform and goes to investigate it...bad things happen. humanity has to fight the alien that mimics the way the talk, act and look before its too late (sci-fi)
To Sleep in a Sea of Stars: girly finds an alien relic on an uncolonized planet, decides to touch it, then super ancient alien dust moves and bad stuff starts happening (sci-fi...again)
Disclaimer: Documentary filmmaker receives a mysterious book, was super chill about mystery book until she realized the book was unmistakably about her and the only person who knew those details is dead, queue very spooky: dun dun dunnn (thriller)
staircase in the woods: child friends go camping in the woods, find mysterious staircase in the woods, one of the child friends go up the staircase and never comes down, staircase disappeared. they return as adults to figure out what happened (horror)
The September House: Girly and her husband buy a house, house very casually gets super uber haunted dripping blood from the walls, ghosts appear, yada yada. girly says yeah that's scary but you cant beat the price and learns to deal with it. hubby on the other hand cant handle it and vanishes. now girly has to find her husband while dealing with haunted house and daughter who apparently knows nothing (horror)
