My upgraded smart meter isn’t talking to EDF and in discussion with them, they said there was nothing they could do about it as there wasn’t a signal at the meter location (it’s indoors).

They said that EDF is participating in a VWAN trial — smart meter uses Zigbee to talk to a wee box, and the wee box talks to EDF. He didn’t know about rollout schedules.

Anyone heard about this, or know anything about timescales, or how to get one of these things more quickly?

A family member, at my request, recently spent some time with an experienced driving instructor who fed back that they were dangerous: drove to close behind other cars, drove to fast, kept wandering over to the other side, too close to parked cars, not paying sufficient attention for potential hazards, not changing gear.

My family member thought the instructor was just unpleasant and overly critical. I chose him as he has the patience of a saint…

I’m worried that if they keep on driving, a Bad Thing will happen. I just found out that you can report someone anonymously to the DVLA, but I don’t know what happens next. Do they demand a retest, a visit to the local police station, just remove the license? Does anyone know?
