It looks like we don't have enough readings from your electricity meter at the moment. Unfortunately, this means you won't be able to join the challenge just yet. But come back and try another time – hopefully we'll have enough readings soon.

I joined on the 10th July, all but yesterdays readings are up and showing 30 minute readings.

I've looked that T&Cs and can't see any minimum readings, does it require a full months reading?

I submitted my SEG application a few weeks ago and I’m still waiting for a start date. I understand that it will be backdated so that good news. I’ve never exported before and wondered if there is a limit to the amount you can sell and is there a time window for when you can export? I presume you can’t export on free electricity Sundays? Any other advice very welcome! Thanks

Also, since EDF is pretty generous with extending the 'slots,' would that generate another alert?

Hi everyone, does anyone know if I also have to have my gas supplied by EDF to be eligible for the 15p SEG? I spoke with someone from the SEG team and they said it wasn’t necessary but the statement of terms says otherwise.

I’m just worried that after all this time I’ve been exporting while they set it up, in the end they might come back and say they won’t pay me because my gas was not with them or worse, the 12m will be pulled!

Is anyone currently on the 12m 15p SEG or have successfully signed up recently and has their gas supplied by a different supplier?

I am switching my solar export tarriff from octopus to EDF. I have already switched my electricity import and gas accounted to EDF as well. When I am trying to fill the application, it only gives me the option of standard variable 3p/kwh. Whereas on the website, it says we are eligible for 15p/kwh export rate. Did anybody go through same issue ? What's the solution?

Anyone else can’t charge past 30% because the battery says too warm? Funnily it charges during the day through the solar just fine.

Hello all,

I’m an Octopus refugee after they took 6 months to install my EV charger and that made me look at pastures new.

I opted for the EDF collective switch Jun27v2 via Uswitch as it was a day rate and night rate that was a happy balance between my low EV useage and my household needs.. I really didn’t like the idea of paying 33p per kWh for household stuff so this tariff brought that down.

The switch seemed to go going ok, got the welcome documents from EDF with the stated pricing being as expected.

Then came switch day and an email stating “here is your selected tariff” that points to a tariff of the same name but completely different pricing structure - it’s an 24hr standard rate which would mean charging my car would cost £5 more per full charge.

Of course I called them immediately, 0930hrs on the morning of the switch and was told by the call handler after some checking that it will just take 10-15 days for the meters to be calibrated and then I’ll be good.

That hasn’t happened and I’ve sent off a “please action” email only to be met with a response that is telling me “you are on the right tariff as per your agreement”.. and sure it’s the right tariff by name but it’s the wrong pricing structure completely.

Has anyone else had similar with EDF and now allow to get them to play fair?

I know I’ll be alright in the end as I have the supporting documentation from the USwitch email, onboarding email and then the change on switch day email.. so the omsbudman can sort it if EDF won’t but I’d really prefer to get it sorted before I end up paying far more than I should for my car charging.

For context I switched on the 10th June and got the EV tariff on the 12th.

Looking at the Energy Hub for the 18th I see a few bars just after midnight and nothing since.

I've downloaded the CSV and that shows no more entries from 01:30, any ideas?

Yes I have contacted EDF and so far no response

How are people taking advantage of free electricity? This is my first year on EDF has anyone been through these events before with them and do they correctly refund the amount to me at the end of the month?
