How long after switching to EDF did you get your first bill?

Edit: Just spoke to them and they have to manually get one created and request a reading from the smart meter??
I’ll give it a week and see what comes from it!

SECOND EDIT: After speaking with them, a bill has been produced, however no credit for the Power Perks so I’ll keep an eye on that for next month.

I switched to EDF and they confirmed export went live on 10/09/2026. Does anyone know timescales on when I should receive my first payment? And see the export details within the app?

Does anyone know how to set the Tesla power wall to delay charging until 4 o’clock in the morning as opposed to 11 pm tonight as I’m on the EV tariff?

Hey, my switch is due to go through tomorrow. Will it be midnight or some point tomorrow? Also, will I get an email notification when it’s done? I’ve been with octopus so long that I can’t remember what happens when switching energy providers!

Does anyone know if Octopus allow an export tariff where supply is gas only? I’m currently in the process of getting export set up, but looking to move my electric to EDF (with the view of moving export to EDF eventually when I’ve got the MPAN).

Because octopus are currently in the process of setting up the export I don’t want to mess things by moving it all EDF mid application.

Looking to move over to EDF from Octopus to one of their EV charging tariffs. I understand I will be transferred to their standard tariff before going to the EV tariff. Can anyone confirm how long I’ll be on the standard tariff for so I can get an average timeframe.

Does anyone know if the NetZero app works with EDF tariff if I manually add in my tariff? EV tariff with cheap rate 11pm-6am?

I’m looking to switch from octopus and was wondering how the Powerwall 3 connects to the tariff. Does it automatically charge the battery during the night tariff? Or would I need an automation app to set that up?

I have recently had solar/battery fitted and have ordered an EV which is likely to arrive in Nov/Dec.

I’m looking at potentially switching from Octopus to the Go Electric tariff due to the 7 hour lower rate charging (can charge my battery and car when it arrives).

Do I need to have my car to take advantage of this or can I switch now and utilise the tariff using my solar/battery set up?

Ordered Model Y LR RWD in red through SS with Zenith on 13th July. The delivery has mostly been Nov-Dec however it updated this morning to 15th Nov - 8th Dec. Anyone else had theirs changed to the same time frame?

Can’t keep refreshing the Tesla app enough!

I’ve recently had a Powerwall 3 installed, solar but no EV (yet). I’m currently on a 12 month fixed contract which ends in March.

Does anyone know how I can configure the Powerwall 3 to make the most of the saving sessions - free electricity being offered on a Sunday to charge the Powerwall 3 during this hour? (Although I find the battery is usually fully charged by 10/11am through solar).

My octopus tariff is currently in the settings, however I was unsure how to tell the Powerwall I’ve got access to free energy between 1-2pm tomorrow.

Ordered MY LR RWD in red in July where Zenith and Tesla confirmed September delivery.

Just got an update from Zenith confirming there’s been a delay(!) and delivery is now looking at November (which is inline with what I’m seeing in the Tesla app as Nov-Dec).

Argh, the wait and the date changes are so frustrating!

Is anyone getting MY LR RWDs delivered at the moment, seems like all I’m seeing are the M3 deliveries

When my car arrives, I’ll be looking to debadge it as I prefer the cleaner look.

Has anyone done it themselves? Is this something Tesla would do before I pick up the car?

Can anyone show me a picture of the badges that are on the back of a MY LR Premium RWD please?

I’ve got the following installation booked in for next week.
Is there anything I I should know/make the installers aware of at installation?

I had planned on only charging the EV car at night, however wanted the option to charge via excess solar (if the price of selling back to the grid reduced in the future).

I’m very much a newbie and learning as I go along so any help would be appreciated.

The estimated delivery on the Tesla app has disappeared. Originally it was Nov-Dec.

Has anyone done a “meet and greet” with their Tesla? I’ve always used meet and greet for airport parking where you leave your “key” and they park it and bring it back on arrival.

How does this work with Tesla’s and the key cards? My Y is on order but will likely arrive before our holiday which will mean it’ll be the car I use for the airport run so trying to figure out how it’ll work!

Did I read somewhere that you can take a picture of something so that export can be backdated? What would this be?

I’m getting solar fitted in two weeks. We’ve not got an EV yet, that’s due to be delivered Nov.

I’m going to be sticking with my current tariff until the EV arrives but I’m keen to make use of export as soon as the solar is in.

Can someone explain to be like I’m a 5 year old how the export works. I believe the company fitting the solar are going to sort out the paperwork etc in terms of the certificate and the G99 has come back with a cap of 4.3kW.

Should I just apply for the outgoing octopus to keep it simple until I know how my usage/system works?

This is all very new to me and I’m learning as I go along! 🙈

It’s becoming a daily obsession in the hope it’ll miraculously give me a specific delivery date (it’s currently saying Nov-Dec).

Maybe trying to manifest a delivery sooner?! 😭

I’m getting solar fitted in 2 weeks. We haven’t got an EV car yet, it’s on order and likely to be delivered November. The more I read the more confused I get. My plan was:

A) Use the sun to run the house
B) Any extra charges the battery
C) Any extra after the battery is charged then charges the car if it’s plugged in.
D) Anything extra after that goes back to the grid.

Have I got that right?
Also, when do I look at my changing my tariff?
My export limit is 4.3kW.

Any help or guidance would be most appreciated! Thank you thank you!
