Hi all,

I have a 8.15kwp solar PV system, 6kw inverter, and fox ep12 battery.

I have just moved to the EDF on their EV tariff (7p over night), and 15p export tariff.

Since making the switch Predbat is now cycling my battery overnight to extract the extra profit. Are these extra cycles worth it?

If I set metric_battery_cycle to 3.5 it won't do this, but anything under 3.5 and it will. Is the extra 50p per day worth the battery wear and tear?

If you have Solar and a Battery you should look into signing up with Axle energy. During peak grid events they pay £1 per kWh that you export.

Plus they are offering £25 sign up bonus rather than the normal £20 right now.
