Looking for a roommate

My roommate and I are looking for a third person to fill a room in our apartment in Greenpoint.

A few quick details:
Rent is $1,950/month
Utilities are usually around $100/month, though they can fluctuate a bit during winter
You’d have the larger bedroom
The apartment has two bathrooms
We’ve both lived here for the past 2 years and are renewing for our 3rd
Our current third roommate is moving out to live with his brother

About us:
We’re both clean, professional, low drama, and in our late 20s. The apartment has been a really solid and peaceful home base for us. We keep the space clean, respect each other’s schedules, and have a good balance of social and independent energy. Looking for someone in a similar place in life.

The location is honestly one of the best parts:
About a 5 minute walk to the G
Very close to both McCarren and McGolrick
Tons of cafés, restaurants, bars, gyms, grocery spots, and parks nearby
Super walkable area with a relaxed neighborhood feel while still being close to Williamsburg and the city

Management has also been great. Maintenance requests are usually handled quickly through a service company, which makes a huge difference.

One thing to be upfront about:
We’re looking for someone who is genuinely ready to move and serious about the process. We both work full time and have stable routines, so ideally looking for someone in a similar stage of life rather than someone casually apartment hunting months in advance.

If it sounds like a fit, DM me and we can schedule a viewing.

Not letting me roll

For context, I’ve only been training for about 2.5 months. I once started two years ago for about a year but had to stop for life reasons and always been itching to go back on the mats. Joined a local MMA gym (many in the area as I live in a big city) but this offers more like boxing, Muay Thai, Greco-Roman, and obviously bjj. The gym has a strict policy on letting people roll right away. I hear new aged gyms let you drill for a couple weeks to a month to see and then you start gradually. The owner has his classes and another instructor he’s had attend there for a while who he’s promoted etc. The owner is a bit crazy and too strict. I’ve been attending his classes 2x a week while attending the other guys classes as well for a couple months straight and he won’t let me roll. To note, I am not being too aggressive or have an ego, but def a little spazzy and dont get all the techniques down first go around (like any white belt). He feels it’s a liability and he doesn’t want anyone to get hurt? I understand but it’s been a couple months and not rolling? What’s the point? The other instructor is letting me roll now and has been but it’s safe to say the owner might have something personal against me. The other guy thinks I’m fine too, I guess it’s just different styles. Also the owner likes to name call a lot and joke around but I feel he’s not at times. I know it’s just the gym culture but when it’s too often you wonder. Thoughts?
