Why is he retracted so far

This is Cilantro. Originally a wild snail I rescued from a grocery store. He’s been doing great with me so far (5 months). He’s a mature garden snail. Temps are around 70/75, humidity in enclosure stays around 80. Lately he’s been slower, not eating as much, and this is the first time I’ve seen him retracted so far.

Anyone know why or is he just reaching the end of his life span?

Brown spot near Geckos vent in

Hi this is my girl Flint.
I was examining her for impaction as I do regularly because she’s on a in-house made arid soil mix (topsoil and sand mix) from a local shop. I noticed this brown dot near her vent. I don’t think she looks swollen. A while ago I had seen this same brown spot a couple weeks ago and she had licked off something from her behind. She seemed fine so I just kept my eye on her. It’s still there so now I am consulting the internet.

Her details:
About a year and half old
Substrate is Arid mix from local reptile shop
Temps on hot: 85 with basking spot at 90
Cold side ranges 70/75
She eats a variety of crickets, mealworms, occasional wax worm.
She has calcium all day, fresh water, poops regularly, her poops look healthy. The only thing I don’t have is UVB which I working on getting her. Couldn’t get a better pic because she jumped off and made a run for it.
