Mold in my cup?!
Please im scared!
For context,
I started using the cup this year, last two months when my period stopped I obviously stopped using the cup, so I usually left it inside the silicone cup. And a couple days before my period started again I came back to check it (it was inside a silicone cup I use to sterilize it, it have little holes on top) I noticed some kind of white dust all over the cup (? not sure, it looked like mold for me(? my room is a little humid so I think it was because the lid was closed for like 2 or 3 weeks idk
After that I boiled the cup like 3 times with hot water and cleaned it with soap and inserted it
Should I buy another cup? this happened twice and I’m scared to get toxic shock sindrome
Now I’m trying to save it with the lid open and with a napkin, I got my period today and the cup had a little tiny dust / mold, cleaned with soap and boiled it and inserted again xC
I haven’t got any symptoms yet, but I’m scared this will affect me in the future :s
Could someone please advise? Has this ever happened to you before? How should I save my cup while I’m not using it?
