Approval standard, inside UK, additional information required
Hi,
My unmarried partner visa application timeline:
Documents & application submitted 31.3.2026
Bio 1.4.2026
Confirmation message 2.4.2026
Request for additional information 19.5.2026,
Approved the same day hours later 19.5.2026
I am beyond relieved after getting a message requesting photos of us and more evidence of relationship. We sent a lot of strong documents initially so the request seemed strange, but hours later I got the result!
Few things that gave us a little extra headache:
- my partner = sponsor is self employed, which meant some extra paperwork
- I am not native english speaker and I sent old test results after getting mixed info whether they can be used or not.
- I have been married previously and struggled to get the right kind of documentation from my home country. Luckily what I got was enough.
