Approved! Standard, Outside.

I wasn't planning to post but I relied too much on the timelines here not to. All glory be to Christ.

I applied from Dominica. My timeline is as follows:

Application Date: 28/02/2026
Bio: 10/03/2026
ECO: 12/03/2026
"We aim to make a decision within our published processing times": 25/03/2026
Reminder to Book Biometrics: 29/04/2026
Approval: 21/05/2026 at 2:51 PM UK time

We didn't get any requests for additional documents. Straightforward application, my hubby did all the work (no solicitors). Honestly, thank God. The wait can be stressful and it took lots of prayers and trusting in God to not let it cause us to be frustrated.

All the best to everyone still waiting. I pray that you get a positive response soon.

Selected Wrong Category?

Hi everyone!

I was just reading some posts and now think I may have selected the wrong category…

Applied for Fiance Visa

I selected - not the same amount continuously, but above requirement.

Situation:
•Job started August 2025
•paid weekly (above 29,000)
•I get paid by the hour and sometimes work more hours or vary during the week to come upto 45 hours
•I submitted my application in April - payslips from August to April (just to be on safe side)

I saw someone get refused because they were assessed under the wrong category.

Any help!!!

Family consent form signature

Hi has anyone signed this digitally (scribble/handwrite the signature using a stylus onto the pdf rather than typing name out)?

Would that be acceptable?

Week 5 priority

My husband and I have just made a decision.

If I don’t receive approval within the 30 working days for priority applications, he’ll come back and we won’t be moving to the UK.

Being separated as a family has been horrible, and we’re not willing to continue like this beyond that point…

I came back to apply for the visa on 12 April, so 29 May would mark the 30th working day, and that’s it…

This situation has been unfair and horrible for us as a family, and especially for our son, who is only one year old and has started to not recognise his own father… It’s absurd and heartbreaking.

This post is simply to share my frustration and to wish all of you a decision from the Home Office soon — whether positive or negative, just a decision.

Nobody should have to go through this stress and pain.

Thank you for reading.

Late February Standard Outside - Who Else?

If you applied outside standard in late Feb and are still waiting for a decision, please share your timeline and location below! Trying to gauge how many others are in the same situation. Very disheartening to see mid-March standard outside approvals while we get radio silence.

Our timeline:

Application: Feb 20, USA, Unmarried Partner

Bio: Feb 25th

ECO: Feb 26th

Received reminder to book bio in March, but no other contact or RFI since then. Today is WD ~56. We travel back to UK together on May 31, so starting to get quite stressed at this point.

Finally!!! Approved! Standard, outside 55 working days.

I honestly can’t believe I would finally say this 🥺 it has been a really rough journey, from crying myself to sleep, feeling numb everyday, the anxiety, feeling really hopeless, missing my husband so much that it makes me cry. Long distance marriage is a very very difficult journey that I would never ever want to experience it again in my life. Today is the 3rd day of Dhul-Hijjah, and I’m currently fasting. I asked Allah to just give me a sign, anything whatsoever!!! Then when I was about to start work, when my husband called me, I saw his message but haven’t opened it because I was rushing. I picked the call and he asked me to check the message that I would be very very happy, I checked it and burst into tears 😂 I cried for 3 mins straight before I bursted into laughter. I still can’t believe it but Alhamdulillah, I’m super grateful to Him for this gift.

The funny part is I made a paid enquiry for the third time today, ranting just for me to get my approval 😂😂 wasted my money 😂😪

For everyone waiting, trust me you’ll get it very very soon. The wait will be over before you know it, hang in there 🥺. This group has been extremely helpful, the people here are so so nice that they give me hope everyday. Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you all!!!

UK Spouse Visa | Standard | Outside | Bangladesh - Approved

Sharing our timeline in case it helps others waiting for a UK spouse visa

Application type: Spouse visa
Route: Standard, outside UK
Country: Bangladesh
Biometrics: 12 March
Application submitted to UKVI: 13 March
ECO email: 16 March
Generic in-progress update emails: 27 and 30 March
Successful visa email: 20 May (46 working days)

The visa was granted from 24 June

It was an eVisa, so the immediate next step is to create/access the UKVI account, check the eVisa details, and make sure the passport is linked correctly before travel.

Alhamdulillah, very grateful. Happy to answer any questions if it helps.

Advice needed - Spouse visa extension

Hi everyone, I’m looking for some guidance about my upcoming UK spouse visa extension, specifically the financial requirement.

Timeline of events:

May 2023: Initial spouse visa granted using cash savings.

Mar 2024: Our savings were depleted due to lending money to a close friend (July 2023), living costs, medical expenses, and relocation. My wife claimed universal credit.

Jan 2026: Our friend repaid the loan in full. My wife stopped claiming universal credit.

May 2026: I’m preparing my extension application and plan to meet the financial requirement through cash savings again.

Given the above, am I likely to face any issues?

Spouse Visa Approved…but what is the entry timeline?

Hi all just a few questions for anyone who can help

Applied outside the Uk with Biometrics done on the 6th of January 2026.

I have been notified by solicitor that the visa has been approved yesterday 19th May 2026 however, he sent me an email copy and that is dated 15th April with the Entry start date being 20th April 2026.

Does this mean my solicitor has notified me one month late?

Also what are the entry dates from approval date as I have been told this used to be 90 days however we haven’t had anything to say as such.

Would the 19th of June be an acceptable date for entry considering this is within the 90 day period or would that be deemed too late?

Share Code at the airport?

Hi! I got approved (yey!) and Im traveling to the UK next week. I generated a share code is this enough to prove to the airline that I have the right to fly to the UK without a return ticket? The share code itself does not provide any information should IDK screenshot the e-visa page just in case? Any experience?

Thank you and good luck to all the ones that are waiting still!

How long to enter Britain after spouse visa commences?

How long do I have to enter Britain after my spouse visa commences? (It has a start date and an end date 2.75 years later, but don't I have to enter within a certain shorter time after the start date?)

Thanks!
