OCI passport update post 90 days in London

Sharing my recent experience of updating my passport details on my OCI from London, UK, in case it helps anyone going through the same process.
Here’s my timeline:

16 July – I submitted a gratis (no-charge) application under Miscellaneous Services on the OCI portal to update my new passport details. On the same day, I also booked a VFS appointment in case an in-person visit was required.

Travel while application was pending – I travelled from India to London while the application was still pending. I carried the application acknowledgement/email stating that there was no hindrance to travel while the application was in progress.
29 July – I received an email from VFS asking me to pay a £23 fine/fee plus VFS charges, bringing the total to approximately £52–£54. Since I had not made the payment in person, they provided a link for me to pay online.
They also asked me to:
Fill in the pro forma form
Attach a photocopy/Xerox of my new passport
Reply to the email with the requested documents
I completed the form, attached the passport copy, made the payment online, and replied to their email with everything requested.
I already had a VFS appointment booked, which I had arranged on the same day I submitted the OCI application. Since I was able to complete the payment and submit the requested documents online, I cancelled the VFS appointment.

12 August – My OCI application status changed to “Under Process.”
16 August – I flew from London to India while the OCI passport-update application was still under process. Based on the instructions published by HCI London, travel to India is permitted while this type of application is under process.
Arrival in India – I had no issues at immigration. Nobody asked me any questions about the OCI update application, and I entered India normally.
Just sharing my personal experience because I know there can be a lot of uncertainty around travelling while an OCI passport-detail update is pending/under process.
Of course, rules and instructions can change, so I’d still recommend checking the latest guidance from the OCI portal/HCI London before travelling.

I would like to note that HCI London has not updated its instructions on the website about online payments

Can I use the free cinema tickets from Club LLOYDS and change back to standard account type?

Wanted to watch some movies since there is a list of good ones right now. But I am skint, I can payin 2000 every month but afraid I might forget to do it. Can I claim the tickets and convert the account to a standard current account from Club Lloyds?

Can someone explain to me how to do it? Thanks in advance!

Passport Update - I received an email from infooci.ihcuk@vfshelpline.com

So I put in an application to update my passport post 90 days. I also have an VFS appointment booked to pay the fine in person.

Today I got an email that I do not need to come in person and can complete the process by paying online and sending proof of payment and sending filled online form on HCI Londons website

The email said if "I have not already paid in person"
Has anyone else got this?

The email has all the correct details like my application number and name.

Email address also looks legit.
infooci.ihcuk@vfshelpline.com

What do you guys suggest? Go in person or pay online?

I have both options available. I just save parking and travelling costs.

Has anyone visited VFS Hounslow to update their passport details?

Has anyone followed the new guidance to update their passport details post 90 day and paid the fine?

What was your experience? What documents did they ask for?

Do they take the OCI away? And re issue new one after paying the fine?

How long do PAN Card corrections take when done on UTIITSL?

I have read a lot of people who suggest using Protean over UTIITSL, bit too late now.

Just submitted my application.

I did have a glitch during the e-verify: had an error with connectivity. Did a regeneration on the site with my REF number and re-initiated the e-auth. Finally submitted my application and I think I am good to go.

Has anyone corrected their name on UTTITSL? How long does it take?

Who the designs such shitty security features that are so user unfriendly?

This post is just a rant.

Its so hard to log into any “payment” app may it br banking, UPI and now recently Adhaar App.

Are the people behind these systems brain dead? Do they mot realise that almost 10% of the whole population live abroad to earn their daily bread?

God I hate the bureaucracy in this country and it reminds me everyday why I should be grateful for leaving it.

EDIT: before you say get an international plan or anything on those lines, it does not work.

Another fun thing, my Indian cellular plan will cost more in the next three months than what I pay in the UK. Fun times.

Attempting to beat Ozma, after a year of taking a break.

That is it, that is all the post is.

Going to be using the full faded memories set and spear.

Wish me luck.

Make £50 through Chase

6MLU44

8MD2NM

NSFMMW

LUAM2A

I like Chase because my credit card offers 0% interest for 12 months, which makes it useful for stoozing if you know how to manage your finances. It also has no foreign transaction fees. That said, if you’re not confident using credit cards responsibly, it’s best to avoid this strategy.

Where to start? Looking for advice and help.

I’m looking for advice on how to transition from focusing mainly on weight loss to starting weight training and building muscle.

Since June 1st, I’ve been doing the elliptical daily and have brought my weight down from 106 kg to around 96–97 kg. I’m 175 cm tall, and while I’m proud of the progress, I know I’m not currently in the best shape of my life. My workouts have mostly been cardio-based, burning around 800 to 1,000 calories a day on the elliptical.

My calorie goal has been around 1,500kcal per day, though realistically I’m usually closer to 1,800kcal. My current goal is to reach 78 kg by December, but I don’t want this journey to be only about losing weight. I want to start building muscle, improving flexibility, and becoming healthier overall. I’m not trying to get “jacked”; I just want to look and feel fit, strong, and healthy.

At the moment, I’m not fully comfortable with how my body looks, and I can see from photos that I still have a long way to go.

I’d really appreciate advice on where to start with weight training, how to balance cardio and strength work, and how to continue losing fat without ending up looking skinny or unhealthy.

I am a complete novice in weight training and do not have any knowledge. Can’t afford a trainer at the moment either would really appreciate your advice.

Would appreciate advice - people who travelled to India from abroad under new OCI rules!

Following the new update for OCI Cards to be updated with renewed passport number, has anyone successfully travelled without having up to date particulars?

Asking as I am preparing to help my dad (77M) prepare for his journey.

Would really appreciate your experiences!

Have you entered india successfully while not updating your OCI with latest passport details?

Has anyone travelled to India recently with an OCI card after renewing their passport, but without updating the new passport details on the OCI portal within the required three-month period?

I’m trying to understand whether people in this situation were still able to enter India successfully, or whether they faced any issues at immigration for not updating their OCI with their latest passport details in time.

Any recent experiences would be really helpful.

OCI Update question for old father (70)

My father is 70 years old and is an OCI holder. He obtained his OCI in the UK in 2018, but when he renewed his passport in 2022, he did not update or link the new passport details to his OCI. It has now been almost four years, and I am trying to understand how to update his passport details under the current OCI rules. He does not currently live in the UK; his permanent address is in India. He will be travelling to the UK in July and returning to India in August. I am confused about the best way to handle this. If he applies for an Indian e-visa to return to India and then updates his OCI/passport details while in India, would that create any issue with the e-visa conditions, such as overstaying or breaching the visa terms? Would he need to leave India and re-enter using his OCI once it is updated, or can his status effectively continue under the OCI? I would really appreciate advice from anyone who has dealt with a similar situation, especially anyone who has travelled to India with an OCI after renewing their passport but before updating the new passport details online.

My wife is going to have surgery for a vaginal posterior fourchette

We have been dealing with her having tearing after or during penetration, since then we have taken its easy and avoided sex for a while.

We are now expecting a surgery to repair the area.

I wanted to ask for some tips, advice or even experiences with this surgery.

I have read one post where the surgery failed for the person, how does this happen?

If someone has had this surgery with success, what did you do?
