the free lathe that is currently being lent to me for my use that I’m deeply grateful to have is also a moderate safety hazard when turning anything over a certain diameter, so I think i need to resign myself to more between centers turning and fewer bowls for the foreseeable future. I don’t have a lot of accessories either. What are fun spindle project suggestions?
hello! I feel like my spider plant is very pale/translucent and i’m worried about him. He’s about 12 years old and has had a very traumatic childhood (nearly died several times when I left him in the neglectful care of my father while I was away at school) and has finally really been flourishing in my new place. This is the first time ever he’s put out baby spider plant shoots. Kept inside, in a windowsill. Big bright window with the blinds up almost always, but north facing. I have a moisture meter and water when it says the soil is totally dry.

hello! broke grad student trying to plan a surprise birthday party for my mom in a couple months and haven't the foggiest idea how to go about finding a place. when I google venue I get extravagant wedding-only venues for thousands of dollars. I just need a room, I think. any suggestions? advice?
