Places for developmentally delayed toddler to socialize?

I live in Eden Prairie, right at the city border with Minnetonka- so trying to find something close to that area if possible. I have a developmentally delayed 18-month-old, corrected to 14-months due to prematurity with motor and social skills estimated at closer to a 10-month old. She’s at home with me and her father all day and has never really interacted with other toddlers/babies before. Her OT thinks she might catch up better on her social skills if she had other toddlers to interact with, but we have no idea where to even begin looking. We’ve considered daycare for a day or two a week- but most daycares we’ve spoken to are weary of her feeding tube and it’s lowered our confidence on whether daycare would be a good fit. She is also currently being watched by her medical team due to some signs of ASD.

Ideally, we’d love to know of places that people take their toddlers on weekends (we both work full-time M-F; so weekends would be easiest) to just socialize and play it’s each other. We’ve looked at places with toddler sections like Lava Island, but they’re too noisy and overwhelming for our daughter. Mostly parks come up when I google where to go, and she doesn’t have the motor skills to make parks a good option yet. Hoping someone else might have some ideas of places.

Voting resources. Where do you find nonpartisan, reliable information on candidates?

Do you have go-to websites that give reliable, nonpartisan views, funding/PAC info, and where candidates stand on important issues. Looking for reliable places to research candidates on our current ballot (and moving forward).

Wanting to watch the Mexico-England match at a Mexican owned restaurant

Title basically but hoping to find a more lowkey spot to watch the game where I could go with a decent amount of people. A lot of the places I’ve found in my searches are hosted and will probably be packed.

Noisy vs quiet neighborhoods with fireworks

I am curious from your experience which cities or neighborhoods tend to have a ton of fireworks around the 4th of July versus are more quiet. I’ve lived in neighborhoods that didn’t have a ton of fireworks and others where the entire week of July 4th would have loud booms late into the night.

We’re moving from Florida to Twin Cities this week!

My husband, 3 sons, and I are moving up from Florida to the Southwest Metro area this week! We’re completely uprooting our lives for a great job opportunity. We got to visit for a few days and the little bit we saw got us so excited! To fuel our excitement even more, I’d love to hear what everyone loves best about the twin cities? Esp for young families, or for mid 30s adults who love a good adventure, immersive cultural experiences, good food, the arts, comedy, reading, or anything unique to the area!

Red, White, and Boom fireworks??

It’s raining for the next 90 minutes at least. Any chance we still get fireworks? 🎆

Update, 9:15 PM: We’re downtown now and a cop said as of now they are still on for 10 PM!

Country folk visiting the city

I live in rural Minnesota, about an hour and a half west/northwest of Minneapolis. I’ll be bringing my kids (12, 10, and 5) to both Minneapolis and St. Paul separate times this week (Minneapolis for the Lynx game Monday and Wednesday to St. Paul for the Science Museum).
What are some things we could do that maybe they haven’t done yet?
We frequent the Sculpture Garden quite often, so I’d like to skip that this time around.
What are some must see things for my country kids to make sure there is more to this world than corn fields and lakes!

Tom Emmer didn’t even show up to his own hometown 4th of July parade.

Today at the Delano 4th of July parade Tom Emmer didn’t show up. He had signs on the Wright county float but he was no where to be seen. When someone with that float was asked where Tom was, they stammered and didn’t know what to say and mumbled that “he is around.” The last time Emmer held an in person town hall in his own district was in 2023. Let’s do better 6th district.

Rebel Loon decor I found at Pride

Little late sharing this, oh well. I found this gorgeous rebel loon decor at Pride and I wanted to share it here. I forgot to write down the name of the shop selling it, so if anyone knows let me know so I can buy more of their stuff.

Popovers?

I know it’s kinda hot, but I have a craving. Where can I get a really good popover? A warm one that will melt the butter. Bonus if it’s large.

Recommendations Needed: Re-Leveling Double Wide Trailer

I'm having a HUGE issue right now... I live in a double wide trailer in Anoka County and need my home re-leveled. It's starting to look like the splitting of the Titanic and figure: Welp, I guess it's time! So I go onto Google to try and find something.

Oh. My. Goodness... Talk about unhelpful! I can't find anything anywhere on how to get that done. It's all basements and actual houses. I live in a trailer park. Anyone that works on houses refuses to touch a mobile home. So... that's fun. I need help! Or at least a starting point that I can launch some quotes or SOMEthing from...

Just curious if anyone knows of a beach that allows dogs to be on the beach? Or if there are any beaches that don’t actually care about that rule lol

Saw this on my way to work this morning.

Flock cam if you can’t figure out what you are looking at. There was another one a couple miles to the south that was covered with a plastic bag.

Anyone know where I can find St. Pauli Girl?

No Total Wine in the metro has it. I went to 4 nearby liquor stores yesterday, called about 10, including 2 listed as having it on Door Dash. Willing to make an afternoon drive of it even if I need to go to Wisconsin! I had a sudden craving yesterday and can't give up the quest now.
