It's not the worst game ever made, but it's certainly fertile ground for an episode. He can refer to the TekWar tv show and the abysmal TekWar novels. Also... he's done a Leonard Nimoy themed episode, it's only right he gives equal time to William Shatner.

I'm not sure how we'd define "successful" or a "hit" but lasting longer than 3 seasons maybe.

I think William Shatner has to be high on the list. He had:

POQ used to be awarded to one partner per district, and it was based on a vote by all the managers from presentations by each manager. It was a big deal.

Then they changed it to one per store, which is great before that allowed for more recognition for partners.

Except.... it made it less special, and most managers are lazy and don't understand the impact positive recognition has on their team.

I'm so fucking tired of hearing from partners that their managers don't award POQ... and if they do, it's as an after thought.

This is money that isn't going to partners. This is recognition that partners aren't receiving. This is a sign that too many managers are not leaders.

I'd love to hear thoughts on this. Am I wrong?

I realize traditionally the bride's family pays for the wedding, but that's usually because they receive a dowry. Did Michael have enough money in Sicily to pay the dowry, or did he receive money from his family? Surely if he received money from his family, that could be used as proof in a court of law that they knew about his whereabouts.

Did he call out sick because he knew a hit was coming and he didn't want to be there? Was he told to not be there?

Surely him not being there didn't help the assassins. If anything, him being there would have aided them.

Fredo sucks to be sure, and wasn't much protection... but if Paulie was in on it, having him there would have helped to ensure the hit went off without a hitch.

Unless Paulie was innocent.

This sub used to be awesome, where even after decades intelligent, interesting conversations were had about 2 (3?) great films. And then for some reason the shitpost storm happened. It was funny for a minute. Some were clever. Some (most).... not so much.

I'd hate for this sub to turn into r/sopranos, where every post... no matter how interesting or insightful... is just met with, "OP never had the making of a varsity athlete."

This is a plea, I guess. To whom, I don't know.
