MJF: There’s something ‘very enchanting’ to me about never going to WWE

“Was it tough? No,” MJF said about turning down WWE to stay in AEW. “You have to know your worth, and I know my worth. And my worth was built because of the legacy that I’m building in AEW. There is something very enchanting to me, no matter how much money did, or does, or will get thrown at me. And trust me it was a lot, hypothetically. It was a f***ing lot, hypothetically. It doesn’t matter because I care about my legacy more than anything…

MJF about Punk

Every time he’s opening his fucking mouth he just continues to look like the jealous ex. And the comments by the dumb fucks are hilarious.

Any update on Colin Thomson court case?

I have not heard anything about the case from Brian and Jim in about a year or so. Seems strange that it just went cold and has never been talked about again. Do we have any new information at all on what the outcome was? Or did I just miss it?

Becky Lynch’s Gimmick

I know I’m not the only one to have seen this, but she’s clearly doing an impression of Donald Trump with her gimmick on Raw. I’m surprised Cornette hasn’t mentioned anything about this on the podcast. I know he usually skips a lot of the women’s segments, but this one is so blatantly obvious, I’d be curious to hear what he thinks of it. I don’t know if she’s doing it because she’s a fan of Trump or she’s mocking him because she hates him.

P.S: I’m not a fan of Trump, and I really hope this thread doesn’t get out of hand. Just making an observation.

Rico with CVV

During a recent interview with Insight with Chris Van Vliet, former WWE Superstar Rico (aka Rico Constantino) discussed how he started his wrestling career at 38, getting signed to a WWE developmental deal, and how Jim Cornette fought for his job, which led to him getting called up to the main roster.

Worth a listen.

Restaurants Jim has recommended in Louisville

I am planning a trip to Louisville in a few weeks and remember Jim mentioning a particular restaurant he's enjoyed going to for his birthday. It would have been a few years ago now but definitely post pandemic. I think it was Momma's Mustard but I'm having trouble finding the clip where he said it to verify. Do you happen to remember the restaurant or any he's recommended? I figured if he recommends it then the place must be good, so I want to check it out if I can.

Is it just me or have they been lagging on their YouTube uploads?

Jim Cornette’s YouTube channel is how I’ve always listened to segments of the show and lately I feel like they’ve been seriously lagging. Does it have anything to do with their new artist? Say what you want about Travis but he pumped out artwork like nothing and felt like dude was on it! Anyway. $4 a pound…

MMA is having its own version of WWE vs AEW with today's freakshow MVP MMA event

Jake Paul's Most Valuable Promotions held its own MMA event today streamed on Netflix featuring a triple main event, and the whole thing reeked of freakshow much in the way AEW did when it started out. Some funny parallels that I think Jim would get a kick out of if he followed this event at all:

  1. Main event was Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. They sold it as the biggest fight in all MMA ever, and it ended in 15 seconds with armbar and absolutely no resistance by Gina, with the women immediately hugging and laughing about how they robbed Netflix of millions. Oh, and both essentially retired from MMA after the fight.
  2. They held this in the Intuit dome (think Raw debut on Netflix).... it was maybe 30% full in the stands outside of floor seating. They didn't even try to hide how empty that arena was.
  3. The event featured almost everybody you can imagine that has some beef with the big bad UFC - Ronda, Francis Ngannou, Nate Diaz fought, while Jon Jones was interviewed, Ariel Helwani was the lead interviewer after fights.
  4. They talked about how the 'UFC should get prepared since MVP MMA is taking over'.
  5. Jake Paul had his own private seating box on the floor. This idiot was all over this event, standing beside each fighter getting interviewed and trying to sell a fight with Francis Ngannou. Tony Khan type shit.

Who is Kelce and why are his nuts so dead?

Even Hogan used this expression on the Netflix doc. And I seem to remember Prichard saying it even more than Cornett does back when I used to listen to that show. Does anyone know the provenance and etymology of this colorful phrase?
