Built a Corsi-Rosenthal box this morning. It’s significantly out performing my air purifier
Menards had what I used. Typically you want the folds to be vertical for better structural stability but the 20x20’s were gone so used 16x20s. We have central air w a new HEPA filter and an air purifier but after booting this up, it’s so SO much better -so if you have anyone struggling in your home rn, this is the way.
“This device with the right fan can deliver 600 to 800 cubic feet per minute. And the cost of all the materials for doing this is on the order of about $65. So about one-quarter of the cost of a really good HEPA air cleaner to build a Corsi-Rosenthal box, which is more effective than that much more expensive air cleaner.”

Impossible to find women’s adult soccer leagues or weekly pickup games.

At Sara’s Table

Hi! Our older brother has been going on about a mushroom bánh mi from Sara’s Table that he had during a meal there quite some time ago (3 yrs-ish). Does anyone know the chef or know if they would be willing to share the recipe? He has been there since and asked some of the FOH staff who don’t recall the dish.
He has a terminal condition and I was hoping we could try to recreate it for him as a surprise.
UPDATE:
This morning I woke up to an email from Chef Jillian Forte which was absolutely amazing. She re-created a recipe for home use which I’m happy to share (DM me) but the tone of her email was just so heartfelt and kind. Here it is in its entirety:
“Multiple people have told me about this request. ❤️ So I have been working on it a bit.
I have two different recipes I can share. I put them on one document and shrunk the size so it's not 10lbs of mushrooms etc Hahaha
Basically though it is on a big fluffy pan griddled ciabatta. Then you add the vegan sambal aioli, which I left a note for you if you want to add the Sambal portion to just regular mayo instead of making it the vegan version (the vegan mayo can be finicky and tricky).
The miso mushrooms are where the magic is at! That recipe is pretty simple, I am hoping that I shrunk it correctly. Those are added to the sandwich, and the last part is shredded carrots and either cucumber or radish slices or shreds. No one around here can seem to remember exactly, and this dish was created while I was taking a sabbatical, so the record keeping wasn't as precise.
Anyways I hope this helps, and he gets to have something at least close to what he remembers!
I absolutely love how food brings people together and creates memories! Getting teary eyed just thinking about it.

On Monday, May 4 the Department of Justice (DOJ) sued Minnesota in an attempt to prevent the state’s climate fraud lawsuit against Big Oil from moving forward.
“Minnesota’s case against Big Oil, filed in 2020, is also advancing and is even further along procedurally. It accuses ExxonMobil, the American Petroleum Institute, and Koch Industries and one of its subsidiaries of deliberately spreading false information about climate change in order to inflate profits from unchecked oil and gas sales, in violation of the state’s consumer protection laws.”
Why the federal government has chosen to take on a case in order to defend multinational corporations at the taxpayers expense is inexcusable.
