Any Funk/Soul Music Album or Artist Recommendations?

I’m a drummer who’s mainly into rock/metal music. Recently I think I should start to dig deeper into funk or soul music, as I notice some funk songs have very interesting drum grooves. Some examples are What is Hip and Oakland Stroke, both by Tower of Power, One Nation Under a Groove by Funkadelic, and Superstition by Stevie Wonder. Any recommendations based on these songs?

Funny to see AW mistaking me drumming as me walking

As I said, I was drumming in the basement for 2 hrs straight, and my AW thinks I’m walking, thus the step distance and step count. It happens multiple times before, but I think this one has gone a bit too far cuz hell you mean I walked nearly 15km.

Edit: Now after a full day of walking the total step distance is smth like 34km in addition to the fake 14km.
