Hiring a driver in Los Angeles for my small business

This has been frustrating me for months now. I run a small product distribution business in LA, mostly moving inventory between our storage unit, clients, and the occasional trade show or pop-up. Nothing crazy, but it needs to happen on time, every time.
I've gone through a few drivers at this point and it keeps falling apart. One just stopped showing up after two weeks. Another was great at first then started flaking whenever something better came along. The whole thing feels like a gamble every single time.
LA makes it worse honestly. The distances between stops are no joke and one bad stretch of the 405 can blow up an entire schedule. I need someone who actually plans around that, not someone who acts surprised by traffic in Los Angeles.
Has anyone built a reliable driver situation for their small business out here? Did you hire independently, go through an agency, use some kind of platform? What actually held up over time?
