Experience with cartier glasses quality

So I kinda fell in love with the design of one pair of premier de cartier sunglasses. Since cartier themselfs didnt have them in stock anymore, I ordered them from a trustworthy online store first. Got them, loved the design, but had something sticky on the frame. no big deal. but than I also saw a few scratches on the screws connecting the main frame to the temples.
Thought about it, returned them, ordererd a new pair from a (as far as I know) trustworthy retail store for cartier which also has mulitple stores. The frames themselfs seemed fine, the fit was off (probably because it was a size larger than before, I couldnt find out the size of the first ones until after I ordered).
Now, considering the price of a thousand dollars, I didnt want to take any half measures and ordered the smaller size from said store as well. fits well, happy end. Well not really, cause then I discovered the cartier tag at the end of the temples, which seems to be fully enclosed in some kind of resin. Now one side was perfectly smooth, on the other side however that resin coverage had some kind of edge and felt rough. it was also, even though barely, visible. that is how I noticed it in the first place.

Now, none of these things are a huuuge deal. In fact, they probably wouldnt catch anybodys attention if I wore the glasses. But I honestly can't convince myself to pay that steep of a price for a product which doesnt atleast partially justifies said price by good quality and attention to detail. I am willing to pay a lot. But not for having a logo in the corner of my shades and a c to the temples.

Does anyone else have similar or differing experiences?
