Story-rich game recommendations that are readable for aging eyes in smaller screens

Hi! I am looking for recommendations of story-rich games where the subtitles, UI, etc are readable even in a smaller screen and even for middle-aged eyes.

I love VNs, detective stories (Ace Attorney is so amazing and quite readable!) and in general story-based games that do not depend on reflexes and do not depend on time (either in terms of not having QTEs and also no real-time events).

Besides Ace Attorney, what other games would you recommend for me?

Thanks!

Started yesterday and already got my little kid Tama boinked by a meteorite

I recently got my first Tamagotchi (Paradise water) and last night started playing with it. First mistake: I did not realise the baby Tama requires a lot of care and when I looked back it already has multiple negative swirls at the cell level. I managed to get it happy and it did grow up to kid. Then this morning the meteorite event triggered and I had no idea how to protect the little Tama, so I watched helplessly while clicking random buttons that did not defend the Tama, and watched my Tama get hurt. It has been cared for now, so I am curious what my little neglected one will grow up to become.

The little accompanying booklet is not too helpful (and my vision is not perfect to read it, need to get my glasses updated). Which detailed instructions or tutorials or both are recommended for a total beginner?
