I turned 65 in the year 2021. In 2022 I opted out of paying into it. Sent the form in and they quit taking CPP off. This April i received a letter from the CRA saying the form was not valid. Four years later. Called CRA they said write a letter to the guy who sent it and tell them I opted out. Now I may have to pay back.My employer will I assume have to as well. Anyone e ever heard of this happening? Four years later..
