How to fix this dead spot
Hi, I’ve recently set up a Mbuna 75 gallon and I have an annoying dead spot under my filter outlet and wave maker, has anyone got any tips on how to sort this. Thanks :)

Not the type of scape and im not sure if this will get much appreciation here due to 0 plants but here we go.
After around 3 weeks of cycling with used media from my other tanks/ from my lfs I’ve added the first group of Mbuna to my 75 gallon. They’re all getting on really well, they’ve been in for about a week now and I’m surprised at how active they are (mainly when they know they’re getting fed lol). I’m feeding them a mix of hikari floating herbivore pellets and northfin sinking veggie pellets.
Stocking so far -
5 yellow labs
3 cobalt blue Zebras
Not going to be adding anymore for a while now as I want to monitor water parameters and make sure it’s all stable and I’m going on holiday soon but open to suggestions for future stocking :)
Last 2 pics are ‘squirts’ hiding spot

This is my first big-ish tank and I can’t wait to see how it looks when it’s done. Really happy with the hardscape, I plan on having Mbuna in here and a few Chinese algae eaters as a clean up crew.
I’ll post more progress pics when it’s all setup :)
