New Worker

So, I applied to work at a Dollar General Market and got hired on the spot. Well, my SM wasn't looking for a day shift / part time but hired me anyways and start pay is $10.70. Basically I would be a cover in or whatever. I haven't started working yet due to waiting on my birth certificate and she is fine with that, she told me to just bring it when it comes in the mail. However, I've seen a lot of complaints here and I wanted to know, is it really that bad working at a DG company? I haven't worked publicly in 10 years, but have my own small business (until it slowed down dramatically) What do I need to steer away from? Is it worth working there? I need advice, stories, opinions, all of ittttt

So, I have a severely damaged EBT card that I've had since about 2019 and I'm in need of a new one since I cannot use my card in stores only online. My question is, I have funds on my card and my benefits hit on the 15th. If I get a new card will I not be able to use the funds on my current card until the new one comes? Or how will that work? Someone once told me to get my balance to $0 before requesting a new card, so I'm unsure.
