HELP ANY VETS??!!! I’m not sure what happened to my dog
My 6 y/o german shepherd just had an episode where her eyes rolled into the back of her head and her gums became slightly pale making it seem like she couldn’t breathe. She remained like this for about 2 minutes with me holding her in a sitting position (she also slightly fell over at one point, as if she was tripping over her feet). After that, her eyes rolled back forward but she remained in her sitting position with the widest whale eyes I had ever seen, like she was in shock or terrified. Then after another few minutes, she was back to her normal self besides having slight airplane ears. Additionally this had happened once before a few months ago, which at the time I thought would’ve been a once-and-done kind of thing.
I’m very worried about her and wondering what I should do and if I should book her an appointment.
- Canine, 6 years, FS, German Shepherd, 44kg
- Our previous vet thought they may have heard a slight murmur while listening to her heart, but no other issues
- Happens out of nowhere and is shocking to everyone around
- First “episode” likely around 3-4 months ago
