Hi! I had 4 full term boys from 2005 to 2014. My last boy in 2014 I had the folley cath induction. I say that for a reason I will explain in a minute. In 2021 at 35 I had my first girl. I was so excited. I pprom'd at 30 weeks. Cervix was seen to be a bit short at 24 weeks so they started progesterone. My cervix was closed and long after Pprom. She had genetic disorders and heart defects and passed at 3 months old. I then got pregnant again and had a miscarriage at 8 weeks. Then 6 months later end of 2021 I was pregnant again. Healthy girl. Pprom at 32 weeks and had her June 2022. Cervix was fluctuating but never got below 2.5 before 24 weeks. She is doing great. 2023 pregnant again. Another healthy girl. Cervix got down to 2.6 but never shorter before the 24 week cut off for cerclage. Pprom at 33 weeks. She is healthy too and a sassy 2 year old. I DID NOT want any more children or the stress of pregnancy again but Christmas Eve 2025 the one time my husband and I got any alone time and BAM I'm pregnant again. I'm now 40, approaching 41 fast. Lol. I am 21 weeks tomorrow. Baby is HEALTHY and active and great. My cervix was watched starting at 16 weeks. It measured 2.1 last Tuesday so they placed a mcdonald cerclage last Wednesday. I will say too I was on progesterone for all of the last 4 pregnancies I've had too and am continuing the progesterone therapy even with the cerclage. Has anyone had anything similar and had a full term baby after so many PPROMs with a cerclage placed? My surgeon who placed the cerclage asked if I knew my cervix was damaged or if I'd had a leep procedure in the past. I said no, the only thing I've had done to my cervix was a balloon dilation induction in 2014. I'm looking for hope. The procedure went well to place the cerclage. Minimal bleeding and no discharge. I'm scared. I will be happy when I make it to 24 weeks and beyond. I pray I make it that far. This is all so scary. Any hopeful stores are appreciated. ❤️
