Canon G7X Mark II
Hi! I’ve been searching for this camera on resale for a while after repeatedly seeing cool photos taken on it posted to social media. More recently, my friend brought hers to a party and I loved the pre-editing process effect produced by her camera. I used a more basic Canon digital camera as a kid over a decade ago that I adored and now I use a Canon EOS r50 that I love. I really like the more warm toned, vintagey effect produced by the Canon G7X Mark II and would love to buy one as a secondary camera with the goal of taking photos with a different look.
I cannot seem to find a used listing that looks legitimate for one of these cameras for around $500 or under. I’m a college student working a minimum wage job during the summers so I cannot afford one for the full price that seems to be over $1,000. I would love some guidance on the best and most reliable websites to continue to search for a used one or a suggestion of another camera that produces a similar effect and is resold for cheaper. Is the resale price of this particular camera just a result of its hype on Instagram and social media or are all similar cameras going for similar prices? I have looked into other similar ones from Canon and Sony that I have seen promoted and the prices were roughly the same or even higher. Thank you!
