Anyone else suddenly realize they’ve been brushing their teeth wrong their whole life?

I saw a dentist video that said you shouldn't rinse after brushing because it washes away the fluoride and now I'm doubting everything.

I used to brush hard too, because I thought “harder=cleaner” until my gums started getting sensitive.

What's an embarrassingly late hygiene/teeth tip you learned?
