Suyash Sharma is so Underrated

I don’t get why a large portion of our fanbase think he’s poor & must be replaced. Funny part is he has improved a lot from last season and is one of the best spin bowling prospects in the country. Let’s look at the numbers.

Suyash Sharma:

Economy : 8.57
Wickets : 7
SR : 29.00

Other Known Spin Prospects:

Ravi Bishnoi:

Economy : 9.88
Wickets : 11
SR : 14.18

Digvesh Singh:

Economy : 10.00
Wickets : 5
SR : 38.40

Shivang Kumar:

Economy : 9.50
Wickets : 8
SR : 24.00

Harsh Dubey:

Economy : 10.36
Wickets : 8
SR : 16.50

Anukul Roy:

Economy : 9.28
Wickets : 8
SR : 17.38

In a season where most spinner have struggled Suyadh still retains an economy of 8.57 showing how consistent he is. Sure he bowls a few senseless bowls now and then but the reason why the management worked so hard & went so far to get him ready is because of the superb talent he is. He still has any many wickets as most of them whilst being the youngest of the lot.

Every year his game takes a leap. His numbers are better than what they were last season. Even when he isn’t taking wickets, he is choking teams with his economy like Chakravarthy thereby increasing pressure allowing other bowlers (our fasts) to pick up wickets. Somehow he has a better economy than one of the most economical bowlers around in Krunal.

If anything RCB fans should be praying India don’t call him up until after the mega auction so that we can retain him cheaply as uncapped. Maybe RCB fans expect to get Chahal but you are not going to get Chahal. You are getting Suyash. Chahal is one the best spinner the IPL has seen. If Suyash can even come close that is a massive success.

Suyash must be retained in the mega auction as uncapped & is a big part of RCB’s long term future. Even in his bad games he shows a lot of quality. Sign of a top player.

Richard Gleeson, I like him

Stats in T20 since 2024

Innings : 62
Wickets : 79
Average : 21.3
Strike rate : 15.9
Econ : 8.04

A very safe, reliable back up

If you are tall & white, can hit the deck hard with spite, Andy Flower will love you alright.

Our management loves experienced seamers & Gleeson is a late bloomer who can bowl 150+. He is bit of an Overton where he uses hard balls with high release point to take wickets in the middle and death.

One of the best replacements for Thushara. Love to see Gleeson’s yorkers. Now Duffy will finally have serious competition.

Mangesh Yadav is the Answer to our Romario problem

A lot of people want guys like Duffy, Bethell, Cox, Venky in instead but that leaves us with an inflexible bowling lineup or weaker batting depth.

We all saw how good Madhav Tiwari was for Delhi yesterday. We all saw how good Urvil was for Chennai on the weekend. Why are we the only team that can’t trust our prospects.

Management failed to have an experienced all rounder backup in the squad & the only one left now is Mangesh Yadav.

Mangesh adds a lot of quality to the squad.

-left arm seamer (angles)
-can bowl both in PP & Death
-very good finisher with a great variation of shots in his bag
-gun fielder

He excels in three phases of play whilst Romario struggles in all three. There is not a better moment to try him than now. He won’t be fully used as the 6th bowler & 8th Batsman, so we can test his skills without much risk. From what I have seen, no chance he is worse than Romario.

The Management really needs to trust the youth. Every team in the IPL apart from us have done so and reaped the benefits. We need to stop being stubborn idiots.

Also allows Hazlewood to bowl in more comfortable phases and bring out the best of his game. Our fielding will become elite & we can add an extra overseas player to the squad.

It is a NO BRAINER.

I love Bethell & he’s a fantastic player but the ECB have nurtured him into more of a middle over batter & him opening these days doesn’t suit him well.

DDP on the other hand is on fire & is really good at maximizing the powerplay. Since he has timing and length, even the balls he can’t power through will end up going for 4s in the PP which is perfect.

This will also stabilize our middle overs with Bethell’s ability to build innings & him being a threat against Spin. A Bethell-Patidar combo is one to watch out for.

I do think DDP should take Kohli’s place as an opener once Kohli retires so best to start now and nurture him in that role.

RCB funny enough went for Shubham Dubey in the auction and today he comes in and imposes himself in a dire Punjab middle order.

RCB have had a lot of gems they’ve bid on but didn’t get. Most of those players have gone on to perform really well in the cycle.

Shows how good our scouting has been & fills me with hope for the mega auction. We’ll need that Indian scouting this upcoming auction, a lot of our players are on the final lap of their career.

Ravi Singh is another, possibly the next cycle replacement for Jitesh👀
