Foundation repair
Location: East Bay
House constructed in 1960s
Moved in 2022.
House is perfectly level, no cracks in walls or cabinet issues.
There is a poured cement foundation (slab foundation) under my garage and family room. That has a 24ft horizontal crack. Aware when we bought it. Again, no visible issues in the house.
Looking to sell the house in couple of years. Question for the group:
- Should I get this fixed even though there are no issues? Will cost ~$30K
- Leave it as is and let the future buyer decide
Not sure if having this on the disclosure will turn away buyers? Pretty confident that other houses in the neighborhood will have similar issues since they are all built in 1960s but no one reports them on their disclosures.
