I (25M) am on 37.5 mg for 2 weeks. I am finding that my libido has increased dramatically. And no effect on ability to finish.

Also, since taking it, my testicles have like, dropped more? As in, the skin is more relaxed and loose all the time. Whereas previously occasionally they could be shrivelled if it’s cold or I’m anxious or whatever. I know that’s a strange observation to tell people on the internet.

But if any other men here can relate please tell me, does this subside after a few more weeks? I am already a sex crazed lunatic, so if anything I was hoping these meds might decrease my libido but it’s only got more intense. And if I go up to 75mg or whatever, what impact does that typically have?

Hi all, I’m 4 days into taking a low dose of Venlafaxine. Last night was horrible, I feel as though I didn’t sleep at all. I must have got a couple hours in, but it wasn’t deep sleep. Just sort of a haze of lying in bed. And now I have a splitting headache (which may not be related to the medication but simply the lack of proper sleep.) I have been taking it with food at dinner time 7pm. Does anyone have this experience? And did you find that changing your dose time helped?

Hello all. I went to the doctor today and told them that I am depressed and suicidal. They said they can get me some free counselling sessions and prescribed me Venlafaxine. It’s like a 30ish mg dose. Is it wise for me to give it a shot? It was the first thing she recommended, haven’t tried anything else. Also this is the first time I’ve met this doctor.

What do you guys think, I’m not even sure I need it. I’m not like in wallowing despair I just feel baseline numb and stupid all the time. I just feel like you guys might have some sage wisdom. Thanks
