Trade for Fusion - advice

Hello Fusion people. I am considering trading in my 2022 Toyota Corolla hatch with 60k miles for a 2017-2020 Fusion Hybrid SE.

My two main reasons for doing so are to lower my monthly payment/debt and have something that I'm able to DIY in the future. I owe $11,500 on my refinanced loan with 7.9% APR. Which isn't bad but, I would get around $4,000 equity selling my Corolla which, ideally, would knock down a ~$12,000 price tag on the Fusion.

My Toyota, while allegedly bullet proof, I am out of the warranty window. All issues would fall onto me. I know when the engine or cvt fails, it basically totals the car because it's so expensive.

Just looking for some advice.
