Sims 1 Legacy on Mac Suddenly Stopped Working?
Hi Everyone, I did a search through this reddit, MacGaming, and a few other sims and gaming reddits and didn't find a solution - so I figured I'd ask here and see if anyone else is having the same issue! When The Sims Legacy was released a year+ ago, I bought it on Steam, and installed it, (successfully!) via Crossover. I used it a bunch, and it worked every time, until suddenly, roughly last fall, it stopped working. Now, when the game opens, it only displays a Gray Screen, and the background music plays as if the game is running "behind" something. I understand the funnel is rapidly getting smaller, Sims 1 Players -- Mac Users -- Silicon mac Users -- Crossover -- Steam but has anybody else experienced this? In the past, I've used a handmade WINE wrapper to get the game to work, but those appear to not be working either. Has anybody else experienced this? Thanks for reading all of this!
