Hey everyone! I’m a first-year student at NC State, and I’m looking for some good barbershop recommendations around Raleigh.
I don’t mind the price as long as I can get a good haircut 😅 I also don’t mind driving a bit if the place is worth it. If you have a barber you trust, I’d really appreciate any recommendations!

Hey, I’m about to start my freshman year and I just received the amount of money I would need to pay by July 25th. I came to the US 4 years ago and I am in the process of being evaluated for asylum, which means that I am legally allowed to stay in the country until I receive a response (negative or positive). Unfortunately North Carolina is one of the states that considers this status as an out-of-state student, additionally I can’t receive any money from FAFSA or the government.
My current tuition is of 40k plus all the other stuff like housing and meal plans it’s a total of 62k a year. I did my best to apply for every scholarship during my last high school year and with my current scholarships, the remaining balance for my first year would be 21k.
My parents are willing to co-sign a loan for the remaining amount, at least for my first year of college. My family doesn’t have a great income, but we would like to explore any low interest or good options before making the decision of switching to a community college.
Any advice on how should we approach this situation? Any suggestions on where we can take out the loan? Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
