Looking for advice/ similar experience grass seeds / facial swelling
This is my dog he’s a sharpei mix. Woke up this morning to some head shaking which he has head before and had an ear infection got that sorted through the vets, however I realised his whole face was swollen was checking on him all morning until the vet opened and took him right in, he was fine all morning, still running about eating licking his usual self, even in the vet he is very bubbly. They said to come back an hour later and I did in that time I realised where I let him off in the garden to wee there are grass seeds and I now imagine this has gone into his cheek to cause the swelling, now the vets gave him a shot and medication and we have to go back in two days we will either be sedated to have it check and taken out or a ct scan which we was quoted 3-4k, we have asked people with dogs they said the dogs were just sedated but it wasn’t in the cheek area which the vet described as ‘need in a hay stack’ can’t find anyone online with a similar experience of where it is or if anyone just has any advice of what will happen etc, attached photos of how he is looking and last picture is what he usually looks like. Apologies if this isn’t articulated very well been very upset all morning as this dog is my everything and I hate that I’ve let this happen without realising.
