Are there films that you know a lot of people but you love?

Scream 7 to me is one of them, I will forever defend this movie, besides the third act, that part was horrible. What makes the movie good to me is the first and second act, plus the family dynamic, I will also say it’s really weird to let a third act ruin a movie if even when you enjoyed the first and second act of a movie.
Jason X is a film that I like, it is the perfect blend of it’s so bad it’s good, and is stupid but funny in a good way, and works as a guilty pleasure.
I Still Know What You Did Last Summer- this works as a guilty pleasure watch because of how there are more kills and gore than in the first movie, and I loved Brandy’s character in this.
All four hatchet movies, I find these movies to be a fun ride with top tier action sequences and top tier practical effects

Why I liked scream 7

  1. The dialogue- Yes I actually found the dialogue to be very natural and realistic. The characters at least felt like real people having realistic conversations
  2. The pacing- I actually liked the pacing here because it gives the film enough time to breathe, and it’s not rushed (besides maybe the third act). The film gives itself enough time to breathe, and I found the pacing to be really normal.
  3. The family dynamic- I think the family dynamic is what saves this movie for me, with Sidney, mark and Tatum. I found the tension that Sidney had with mark and Tatum very realistic and believable. Sidney here just wants what she experienced to be left behind her and has trust issues with Ben. Mark is the one that calms the tension between Tatum and Sidney. Tatum is a teenager trying to live a normal life. Mark doesn’t have an arc here, but I feel like here he didn’t really need one. I liked Tatum’s arc here and we clearly see that guilt she has for one of her friends dying.
  4. The first and second act- this is what makes the film good to me, not the ending, the ending was horrible and deserves the criticism. I can’t really let the third act ruin the whole film, because the first and second act of the film was really enjoyable to me, and I loved that they did some new things with the franchise and broke franchise rules

I also like how it satires off of ai and idolizing public figures

My thoughts on scary movie 6

There were some moments where giggled and chuckled but I felt like Ray did not have a purpose here and feels like it would have been done without him, there were not moments where I felt like I laughed out loud but I was close to at one point. I could predict scene by scene what was gonna happen because of how it’s basically scream 5. Plus too much online slang and jokes that feel 10 years old. I felt like I was watching a YouTube and a TikTok compilation

Overall 5.5/10

I find charlotte to be well written in the second movie

I find her motive to be reasonable on why she is mad at the adults and parents because of how they dismissed her when she was asking for help. I know people find it stupid how the adults brushed her off, but you guys need to keep in mind that that event took place in the 80s and it’s historically accurate to how things like that were in the 80s, and how during that time parents would not monitor their kids. It makes her motive more understandable, I know people find it weird how she doesn’t go after William, but I think it’s because the adults brushing her warnings off mattered more to her than the guy who killed her. I was also fine with her not being exactly like how she was in the games. I found the possession stuff to be pretty cool and menacing. I also found her dialogue to be pretty menacing.

Which movie do you think was better scream 6 or 7?

I think this is kind of debatable to me, both movies had bad third act/killer reveals, and writing problems. But I feel like 7 is more character driven, and 6 is more action packed. Mindy and Chad were the best versions of themselves in scream 7 and had a more interesting dynamic. Right now it’s kind of a bit hard for me to pick one of the two tell me what you think in the comments.

I liked scream 7

People can say whatever they want about scream 7, but I liked it, sure it’s the weakest film in the series, sure the third act was Ass, and sure the side characters were disposable and useless. I will say that the film was carried by its main characters Sidney, Tatum, Mark, Gale, Mindy, and Chad, they were all really enjoyable. The tension between Sidney and her family showed how much her trauma really affected her and how she is now. I know some people say that AI Stu was just nostalgia bait, but it was not meant to be “hey remember this character”, it was meant to taunt Sidney symbolizing that she can never fully escape from what happened in woodsbro and it was meant to be a ghost of the past haunting Sidney psychologically. AI Stu was also funny at times, but just know that that is the character of Stu, he was comic relief in the first film, and it’s obviously AI and it’s gonna be funny at times. The dynamic between Sidney and Tatum was really what Carried this movie because of how much we got to see Tatum learn how to be a fighter like her mom. Scream 7 also does have a theme and its about people’s obsession with true crime can cause them to go insane. The kills were also real good and more brutal than I thought it would be. I also liked that it broke the franchise rules by killing a killer in the middle of the movie, and less ghostface calls. I liked that they were doing something new with the series. I will admit that the plot armor was really dumb and they need to stop using Mindy and Chad for it constantly. I will say this movie showed the best versions of Mindy and Chad where Mindy is less cartoonish and Chad has more personality tho there were some funny scenes here and there. The first two acts I’ll say were the best part of the movie. The third act did not ruin it for me. I liked how they did the scene with Billy and Sidney differently from the first movie by Sidney catching tatum’s boyfriend Ben in the house and wanting him out. I also found the dialogue to pretty natural. Also the AI Deepfake of Dewey, Roman and Nancy are not just meant to be “remember these guys”, it’s more of letting Sidney know she cannot bury or escape the past and what she went through. I will defend this movie for life
Overall 7.5/10

How would you rank these final girls of the 2020s?

Sienna Shaw- Terrifier 2 and 3
Samantha carpenter- Scream 5 and 6
Tara Carpenter- Scream 5 and 6
Ava Brucks- IKWYDLS 2025
Tatum Evans- Scream 7
Maxxine minx- X and Maxxine
Jessica Wright- thanksgiving 2023
Deena Johnson- Fear street 1 and 3
Brianna Cartwright - Candyman 2021
Allyson Nelson - David Gordon Green Halloween trilogy and she mainly gets a bigger role in kills and ends

Sienna I think is the best final girl of the 2020s by a long shot

Ava Brucks if you ask me is the worst because of how bland she is and how how much of the cringe dialogue comes from her in the film that she’s in

WTF did I just watch? This movie was just a drag and a bore to get through. Terrible characters, terrible dialogue, terrible acting. I can’t help but root for Johnny to kill all the characters because of how much I wanted them all to die. Literally this entire movie is just Johnny walking through the woods. Some of the kills I’ll say we’re really good like the yoga kill. I’ll say some of the kills were really creative. Also that bear monologue at the end was just cringe, a drag, and just HOLY YAP. This movie also proved that Chris Nash cannot write realistic dialogue. I hope and pray that the sequel will be better and improve upon this. Overall 3.5/10

To be honest, I think the survivalist is the worst with it being the most basic plot ever that’s utterly boring and not very interesting. That’s the problem with the episode of lack excitement and there’s nothing that it adds
