Curious what Malaysian car guys here would choose.
For roughly similar money:
used German performance/luxury car OR
Japan-spec Lexus RX / IS / GS
One gives:
driving feel
badge
performance
The other gives:
reliability
comfort
peace of mind
What would you pick for daily use in Malaysia?

I work around Japan direct import / recon cars in Malaysia, and one thing I realized is:
A lot of people still think recon = risky.
But after seeing Japanese auction reports, mileage records, and actual specs… I honestly think some Japan units are way better than local used cars.
For example:
Alphard / Vellfire with much higher specs
Better interior condition
Lower mileage
Cleaner ownership history
Features Malaysia specs don’t even get
Especially things like:
360 camera
HUD
DIM / BSM
Auto parking
Digital rear mirror
Better leather & interior trims
Sometimes the price difference isn’t even that huge.
I’m curious what people here think.
Would you rather buy:
Local used car OR
Japan recon with verified auction grading?
And why?
