The way these people are gaslighting Iryna is just insane to me. The constant disgusting jokes these men keep making at the expense of their wives/partners is SO awful and then they bite their tongues because they know they’ve said something problematic!!!
Iryna isn’t even Desi, her culture is likely different, but the way everyone expects her to assimilate while speaking a language she doesn’t understand is awful.
Gosh, the way these women are shaming Iryna makes me SO sad!! if you’ve chosen such a sad life for yourself, why are you shaming someone for standing up for themselves??
And at the end of the day, why is calling your husband out in a public setting more frowned upon than him 1. Lying 2. Being caught in the lie 3. Blocking her 4. Likely doing shady things if he’s avoiding her??
If you want to help them, encourage him to stop lying and hold him accountable rather than telling her to put up with it. It’s so awful especially after hearing her backstory about how her grandparents raised her and how she doesn’t want to repeat the pattern with her kids. Where is the empathy??
Ok, I’m sorry I’m just on episode 3 and I’m appalled
