Is it a bad idea going to school/pursing a career in art with carpal tunnel?

I’ve been drawing my entire life and it’s my dream, but I was never able to afford going to art school and taught myself and I find that it shows. There’s a lot of gaps in my fundamentals that would really benefit from a curriculum/having critiques. I also have a learning disability and could really benefit from the structure of a curriculum. I’m 30 now, and it’s still all I care about but I recently developed carpal tunnel and my dreams have come to a crashing halt. I even moved across the country and saved up money just for to take a good art program at a 4 year UNI where I would get a free ride. I don’t want to just give up on my dreams, but I’m not sure what to do. I have a stable day job where I can do art and art school on the side. Any artists with carpal tunnel have any insight? I’m looking into getting surgery and have been relearning how to draw without using my wrist so much (another bad thing about teaching myself how). Or using grips and other tools to have it be more comfortable. I don’t want to just give up. I will learn how to draw and paint with my feet if I have to.
