Just listening to The Seven Potters chapter of the latest audio book, and I was reminded that Mrs Weasley let 4 of her sons and her husband go either as decoys or to protect Harry. She could have lost most of her family that night, protecting one boy.

Obviously the whole family is bloody brave, but as a mother myself I can’t imagine any scenario where I’d let my kids and husband put themselves at that level of risk - unless it was to protect each other. So I suppose she really must have seen Harry as another son.

Still though, the Weasleys, what a family (except Percy, the git). No wonder they were all in Gryffindor!
