Brother/Sister, I am asking this respectfully:Israel has every right to defend its citizens, especially after the October 7 massacre where Hamas deliberately killed civilians, raped women, and took hostages.The core issue is:Hamas (the governing authority in Gaza) is a designated terrorist organization. They built their military tunnels, rocket launchers, and command centers deliberately under civilian homes, hospitals, and schools. This is a human shield tactic.

When Israel strikes legitimate military targets, civilian deaths occur because Hamas uses its own people as shields. Hamas also diverts aid for weapons and has repeatedly rejected peace offers.

Many Palestinian polls still show significant support for Hamas and even approval of the October 7 attack.

My honest question is:If Hamas is the one increasing civilian suffering by using its own people as shields and continuing the war, why do many Muslims around the world continue to strongly support the Hamas government? Is it because of Ummah solidarity, religious feelings (Al-Aqsa), or media narratives that make people ignore Hamas’s terrorist actions and rejection of peace?I don’t think Israel is perfect (settlement issues exist), but the biggest obstacle to peace seems to be Palestinian leadership’s terrorism and “destroy Israel” mindset. Real peace can only come when Palestinians choose better leadership that rejects Hamas, deradicalizes, and accepts a realistic coexistence with Israel.What do you think? Should Hamas be held accountable, or is only Israel to blame?
