I normally use my miles for domestic flights when i fly solo, as it always seems to be a bad deal to use miles on holiday/busy travel dates. Thanksgiving week for example was 300k SFao-IAH or AUS for 3 ppl. Last night I secured round trip to Europe on Polaris in June for my wife for 300k miles where my airfare on the same route/days was $7200. Finally feel like I won the mileage utilization game!
