Visiting Jakarta for the first time
Hi everyone!
I'm coming to Jakarta from India in December for the bts concert, and it'll be my first time visiting Jakarta.
I'll be staying in an airbnb next to swissote! living mega kuningan for a few days and have 2 full days (24th and 25th) to explore the city.
I'm definitely a mall/shopping person (so Grand Indonesia is already on my list e), but I also don't want to spend my whole trip just shopping. I'd love to experience the city properly too.
I'm into skyline views, observatory decks, artsy spaces, fun activities, art workshops, hidden gems and good vegan food. So far I've been looking at places like Museum MACAN, M Bloc, MOJA Museum, Senayan Park, PIK and Thamrin Nine Observatory.
For people who live here if you only had 2 days, what would you personally pick? Which places are actually worth it and which ones can I skip?
Also, how's my airbnb area at night? Is it comfortable to walk around? And what's Jakarta like during Christmas - weather, crowds, any festive events?
Would really appreciate any tips or personal recommendations.
Thank you!
