I was wondering if anyone had any insight into Everhaven. It seems like they are run by undergrads out of UVA but actually have good AUM and are doing good in the prediction markets space
Hi everyone, quick background: I interned at a BB in equity research last summer and didn’t really enjoy it. I’m an incoming graduate math student at Penn, and I studied math in undergrad. I’m still figuring out exactly what I want to do, but I’m mainly interested in fundamental buyside roles while also preparing independently for QT/QR roles.
I had a few questions:
- What finance/investing clubs at Penn are worth looking into for someone interested in fundamental buyside recruiting?
- Are non-Wharton graduate students able to join these clubs, or are most of them mainly for Wharton students?
- Do non-Wharton students still get meaningful access to OCR or other finance recruiting resources?
For QT/QR recruiting, are there any Penn clubs, resources, or student groups that are actually helpful?
- For anyone familiar with the math department, what is the general environment like for graduate students?
- How competitive is the culture at Penn overall? Is it collaborative, or does recruiting feel pretty cutthroat (I know some schools like Cornell create a bloodbath)?
Any insight would be really appreciated.
