I want to do undergrad research (for course credits in my third and fourth year and hopefully volunteer lab positions )with Dr. Scott Nielsen in the Renewable Resource department. When is the best time to cold email him? Is it the beginning of the fall semester or even earlier?
Has anyone worked with him and have advice on how to approach him? I have taken REN R 105 under one of his phd students, so should I approach them first?
